The config button will be used to switch the controller from one game's layout configuration to the next when pressed. If held in conjunction with the mode button it will put the current layout in a programming mode. The light will flash quickly 5 times to indicate this - otherwise it will flash once and go off in an unknown/error condition (or the same behavior if a timeout after 5 seconds).
While in a programming mode the system will wait for you to press a button. When pressed the light will flash twice. Now the user will press the button from any number from 1 to 15 times (or however many configurable outputs we have) - each time as feed back it will flash the number of times quickly - repeating the flashing sequence every 5 seconds. Once selected, the user pressed the mode button - this will move on to the next button configuration. If the last button has been reached it will flash twice and then the configuration layout is complete.
Pressing the mode button will have the LED flash the number of times reflecting the current mode number after incrementing the mode.
