I created a git repository on bitbucket.org. I will share it with you shortly. I haven't actually done a pull request from it and there were a couple oddities - but here is the info I recorded:
=============
1. Go to bitbucket.org and create a new account - or create one from the share request you got in the email.
2. Create an SSH key on your RPI
- type: ssh-keygen in a terminal window
- hit enter to accept the default location
- enter a pass phrase you will remember, enter it again
3. On the RPi, bring up Midori and log into your bitbucket account.
4. Choose avatar > Manage Account, then click on SSH keys
5. Click Add Key button
6. Type cat ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub in your RPi terminal window, copy the text
7. Give your key a label and past in the text (from ssh-rsa to end) and click Add key
8. Install ssh-askpass:
- In terminal on RPi: sudo apt-get install ssh-askpass
9. In QT Creator on RPi, go to Tools->Git->Remotes…
10. Add a remote and use this URL:
git@bitbucket.org:ifrisbie/itc.git
11. Note - when you have an account and were given access, you likely will replace "ifrisbie" with your own info.
12. Open a terminal window and navigate into the ITC directory
13. type: eval `ssh-agent -s`
14. type: ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa
15. type: git remote -v
16. type: git push bitbucket_itc master
- enter passphrase
NOTE: for some reason when you try to do this through the GUI it doesn't ask you for the passphrase. Also, it doesn't seem to be supplying "master" as defaul
and it needs to be specified.
