Just a post to track plans and ideas for future revisions. Here is what we have so far:
ITC Rev 1
Status: Built by frisbone the controller is fully assembled except for a loosely attached stock and no battery (magazine). It re-uses xbox buttons and the left joystick and is green.
ITC Rev 2
Status: Built by lintona much of the work thus far has been on modding the xbox controller and making it cleaner than Rev 1. New buttons are being looked at as well as possible changed placements of components and buttons.
To save DIO, make triggers digital. Possibly use Digital POTs or DACs to handle the joystick instead of PWM. Replace left joystick with a lower profile one.
The gun is grey - but same model as Rev 1.
ITC Rev 3
Status: Concept only at this point. Will be a 3D Printed chassis based on the lower receiver of an AR15. Also envisioned that we would create our own PCB to house the microsoft controller chips so that we could make the reuse of a controller much easier (just using a heat gun to remove the chips, and put on our PCB. Perhaps the use of tiny micro controllers for remoting I/O using I2C (for I/O on distant parts of the guns). Idea for this rev is to start making the gun much more modular allowing for differing add-on components.
