Some strange issues where I can't seem to SSH to it but it is connected to the network. The windows 7 machine can't putty and the mac can't SSH (mac always could before).
I started the VNC server and that didn't seem accessible either (although it seemed to start correctly.
On day two I realized that I couldn't get any of my devices to talk to each other wirelessly (although I didn't try to hook up one through the back of the router). No router options I can find on my DPC3827 to turn off client isolation or "guest mode" (assuming that is the problem). Seems as though my router isn't capable of it - but don't know. Sent support request email through AtlanticBB to ask about router configuration - hopefully they'll respond.
In the mean time I connected the MAC direct through a wired LAN connection to the RPI outside of the gun. IP config is 10.1.0.1/2 (2 being the ITC). I enabled the vnc (history showed me the command was "vncserver :1 -geometry 1920x1080 -depth 16 - and then use chicken of the vnc to connect to screen 1. Ctrl-Cmd-Alt-` puts you in and out of full screen mode (which is necessary to access the menu bar).
Launch QT Creator through the start menu->Programming and then pick ITC2/ITC.pro from the Recent projects list under File to get back where I was last I was doing all of this.

Well I found a stackexchange post suggesting that my issue may be that I have mixed security modes enabled on my router causing issues. It was set to WPA and WPA2-Personal. When I set it to WPA2-Personal and reset the router everything was fine. Guess that is what changed on my router.
Hopefully no machines are affected by this.
